Hi Folks, Great to have you on my site. Here's a little bio on my journey as an underwater photographer.
I began swimming at an early age and went on to represent my county in England. At the age of 17 I was awarded a swimming scholarship to university in the USA. I competed during my time there alongside studying for my undergrad degree in Kinesiology (Sports Science). It was here I discovered scuba diving, and at the age of 19 I became an Open Water diver. I went on to become a divemaster and then an instructor whilst living in Thailand. I Landed my first job teaching in Port Douglas, Australia on the Great Barrier Reef.
My love of Underwater Photography was born in these times, living and diving in Northern Queensland. The beautiful marine life and breathtaking sites were too much for just the eye.
I continued my love of diving, teaching and photography, working in Perth Western Australia, Malaysia and finally the UK.
I started The Underwater Studio in 2009 when my children were born as I loved underwater portraits and especially little water babies.
I've since, qualified as a HSE Media commercial diver, swimming teacher and run a Mermaid Swimming School.
